Two killed in Fort Worth car accident

Fire department officials reported that a two-vehicle collision at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 3 in one of the center lanes of southbound Loop 820 West, near White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, Texas caused the death of two individuals.

According to fire department spokesman Kyle Clay, the accident occurred when a Chevrolet Malibu developed a flat tire. Because of this problem, the vehicle came to a stop in one of the roadway’s center lanes, at which point a sport utility vehicle rear-ended the Malibu.

Two individuals were sitting in the back seat of the Malibu when it was hit, resulting in fatal injuries. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene while the other died after being taken to the hospital. Two other individuals involved in the accident were taken to area hospitals to receive treatment for minor, non-life threatening injuries. Authorities have stated that they are not sure how fast the SUV was traveling when it struck the Chevy Malibu.
