If I was partially at fault in my accident, can I still receive compensation?

In many cases, accidents are caused by multiple factors, and it may be that the person who suffered injuries was at least partially responsible for his or her own damages. However, in Texas, this does not prevent the victim from receiving compensation unless he or she was more than 50% responsible for the incident. If a person partially at fault for his or her own accident wins compensation from the other parties, the remuneration will be reduced in correlation with his or her percentage of fault.

At the Woodson Law Firm, we have two decades of experience in helping personal injury victims, even if they are partially at fault for their own accidents. To learn more about whether you can receive compensation for your injury, contact our lawyers today at (817) 338-0303.
