Fort Worth hit-and-run arrest

A 44-year-old Fort Worth resident has been taken into custody by officials. The man was charged with failure to stop and render aid.

An anonymous party tipped the Fort Worth police off about the location of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of of 63-year-old Douglas Tunnell.

Tunnell was walking across 3100 Alta Drive when he was hit by a southbound silver Jaguar S-type four-door sedan.

When the police arrived at the address, they found the vehicle in question. The police enforced their search warrant, confiscated the car, and arrested the owner, James Standerfer.

The lawyers of the Woodson Law Firm extend our deepest condolences to those affected by this tragic accident.
